A taste of who we are and what we believe

What are our key beliefs? 

Firstly we believe that Christ is the head of our church. Each of us has a personal relationship with the Lord. He has tasks and a purpose for each which He will make known. He will share His truth with each of us to help us on our journey.

Secondly our church is based on a commitment to God and one another, where seeking the mind of Christ is the basis of all we do.

Thirdly we believe all members are considered equal before God, and all skills and gifts are valued and recognised.

These are three key Congregational principles, however we acknowledge that there are many more principles that are evident in our Christian lives and worship, among them are:

• Our desire to share the Good News of Jesus’ love and His gift of salvation to all,
• Our joy in learning together more of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit,
• The need for us to love and serve as Jesus taught us,
• Our commitment to meet the Lord’s desire for us to bring social justice and a right relationship with our God,
• The necessity of treasuring the world that God has given into our care.

We believe that Christ died on the cross for each of us. At Holy Communion we meet Him again, remembering His words and sharing the bread and wine which Jesus told us were His body broken, and blood shed, for each us.
